Taos Museums. www.taosmuseums.org . Formed to improve the educational abilities of 5 key Taos museums. Links to each individual facility. Most of these museums are a short walk from Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza.

Blumenshein Home & Museum. Just a block up and a block West.
Taos Art Museum and Fechin House. About 4 blocks North on Paseo del Pueblo Norte.
La Hacienda de Los Martinez. About 10 minutes on lower Ranchitos road West of hotel.
Harwood Museum of Art. www.harwoodmuseum.org/ . One block up and another West.
Millicent Rogers Museum. www.millicentrogers.com/ . About 15 minutes North just off US 64.

Kit Carson Home & Museum. Two blocks North then a few feet East on Kit Carson.

Governor Bent Museum. Three blocks North, just West of Paseo del Pueblo Norte.

Couse Foundation. Another of the founding Taos artists, their land abuts the Easterly edge of Indian Hills Inn. The historic family home is just a couple blocks North of the hotel.

Taos Pueblo. www.taospueblo.com/ Not usually listed as a museum but certainly a cultural and historical site. Located about 2 miles North of Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza.

You will be amazed by the extensive variety of historical information, cultural explanations, and art displays at the above museums. Certainly, you'll leave Taos with more awareness than you arrived. Most folks truely enjoy those adventures. It's part of: Taos, Living Life at a Higher Level.
