Official NM Trivia

Do you know the official flower of NM? How about another name for the state bird (beep, beep)? Do you know how they spell our state tree in Colorado (very odd)? What fish is honored as our state fish (it's not the alcoholic)? Which four legged creature is our official animal? What vegetables are offical veggies of NM, two of them? Is there an offical state gem? Other than cannabis, what's the state grass? On March 17, 1981 the state adopted the offical fossil (rock, not clothing) named? If the cookie monstor was from NM, what would he offically eat? If Nm has an offical insect, can you name that bug? Anyone care to guess at the offical state question?

Those questions are developed from an article in the Kit Carson Coop (and other NM coops) monthly newspaper, Enchantment. For those who aren't familiar with the term coop, that is the rural electric coop. It's a user owned electric supplier. They have been very instrumental in developiong the rural portions of the USA. They were one of the few good ideas of our federal government. Now what are we going to do with them?

For everyone who emails indianhills@newmex.com correct answers to every question, first, we'll give you an extreme discount special rate of $39 during the off season, $49 during the shoulder season, and $59 during busy season. That rate will be good for 1 or 2 Guests. Added Guests in same room at $5 for each added Guest. That special rate is not available during holiday periods: Thanksgiving, Christmas-New Years, MLK weekend, Pesidents weekend, spring break, Memorial weekend, July 4th, Fiesta weekend, or Labor Day weekend. The winner discount special offer ends August 31, 2010. We'll craft and send a return email to those who get the answers correct with the details of the specail rate offer. Added nights will be available at the then current rate. Good luck and good research. I'll keep this contest open for a few weeks. All answers must be in my hands by November 15, 2009.
