More May Arts & Activities for Taos

The public is invited to meet and visit with Taos plein-air painter Salvatore Giglio at the Meet the Artist program at Sage Fine Art Gallery on Taos Plaza.  The event is Wednesday, May 12, and 19, 2010 and runs each day from 11 AM to 5 PM.  He is exhibiting his "On the Spot" paintings as the featured artist of the Sage Gallery.  On display are his new watercolor, oils, and graphite sketches works.  More information at Sage Gallery, 575-758-9396 and their web site: http://www.theartistswindowonline.com/artwinweb/artwin.nsf/SageFineArt/SageFineArt?OpenDocument

Centinel Bank's main office just South of Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza 3 blocks hosts an exhibit of movie posters beginning this week, Thursday, May 13, 2010 and running until the end of May.  An openning reception is from 5:30 to 7 PM Thursday.  The collector is Steve Wiard, pastor of El Pueblito United Methodist Church.  Seems Steve began his collection some 25 years ago when a friend gave him a gift, the "Bull Durham" poster.  Foir more information, call 575-770-9590.
