Been away for a couple days, hence no new posts. So there's several items for this weekend.
The 27th Annual Taos Spring Arts Celebration continues through May 31, 2010. This town wide festival celebrates the many art forms offered by the many Taos artists. They are much of the why folks enjoy Taos so much and have for so long. Included are gallerey opennings, musical shows, stage presentations, dining and more. More details at 575-751-8800.

Enchanted Storytelling begins at 7:30 PM Saturday the 15th at Spirit Runner Gallery featuring Roberta Courtney Meyers. We're talking about taking you back in time...into Taos' sacred past...where you'll meet Taos' historical ghosts. Also ocurrs Wednesday, the 19th, same time and place.
Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR begins May 22, 2010, Saturday. Book your rooms and buy your tickets soon. It's a great ride! Email me for the right trip choice or ask our team of "tour guides" at Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza.
Memorial Day at Viet Nam Veterans Park will be perhaps the biggest weekend in history. Activities include 4 speakers, the artist in residence talks, 2 bands for 3 concerts, the ribbon cutting for the remodeled visitor center, the traditional candle light vigil May 30 at 7 PM, The Flag at 9 AM on the 31st, and Memorial Day Ceremopny at 11 AM on the 1st. Plan a little extra time as the Moreno Valley will be crowded and busy. Ride safely! If you're driving, watch for the bikes! Details at 575-377-1594 or www.nmparks.com or www.angelfirefun.com.
A reminder, Memorial Day weekend is always busy in and around Northern NM. I suggest you reserve now to avoid wandering helter skelter looking for a last minute room.
After a short out of town trip, may I remind you that Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza still offers affordable phone calls at $.50. Some big city hotels charge as much as $2 when you dial from that bedside phone. Internet service cost $14 a day at most big city big property hotels. We're still giving it away. We'll gladly send a fax for you at $2 the first page and $1 for added pages. Our hotel charged $8 for the first page. Want a fridge in big town USA, it'll cost as much as $25 a night. Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza, the cost is $10 a night. The end result, that big city hotel charges from $100 to $500 a night with an average of about $200. Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza will welcome you for about a third to half those big city rates.
