Folks who've been coming to Taos for many years may remember Weaving Southwest's new location as the old J. C. Penny store, just North of the Plaza light on Paseo del Pueblo Norte. Owned by Teresa Loveless, she expressed excitement about the new locations size, lighting, access, and location.
The new store is essentially a gallery of fiber weaved art, a retail outlet for weaving tools and materials, tapestry, and wearable apparel. Their new web site has just about every piece available in the store and is set up for online purchases. A web browse is almost like a trip to Taos, well nothing can replace being here.
They plan a couple special events each year and will have a special theme around the fall Wool Festival, usually the first full weekend of October. Their web site is: http://www.weavingsouthwest.com/ or you can reach them at 575-758-0433.
Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza is located just a couple blocks South of their new location. Such easy access will be appreciated by both their customers seeking lodging and our Guests seeking fiber arts and crafts. You will enjoy their new space and displays. Make some extra time for viewing and visiting on your upcoming trip to Taos.
