The Enchanted Circle has another museum of note that offers visitors another view of the history and culture of the North Central Sange de Christo Mountains. This one highlights the area's mining and rail road history and showcases some interesting "green" building technology. They are in the midst of constructing a new facility while simultaneously fundraising.
The museum tells the story of mining in the Moreno valley which has a rich history back to the late 1800's. They also direct visitors to gold panning excursions out of Red River on a seasonal basis. The excursions are part of the museum's fund raising program.
